Websites for Alexander Technique Teachers
by Imogen Ragone, M.AmSAT

Imogen Ragone

Imogen learned how to create her own website to promote her own Alexander Technique practice in Wilmington, Delaware. She took two online web design courses and then set to work. Her goal was to have a clean, professional look, with easy-to-digest information on each page. You can see her website at www.imogenragone.com.

She enjoyed the creative process so much that when Robert Rickover, Alexander teacher and creator of The Complete Guide to the Alexander Technique (www.alexandertechnique.com), approached her regarding the possibility of designing websites for other Alexander teachers, she jumped at the chance.

As a low-cost alternative to an expensive custom-designed website, Imogen has designed three basic layouts for multi-page websites from which Alexander Technique teachers (and others) can choose. The layouts are flexible and allow you to choose your own color scheme, graphics and pictures, and, of course, supply your own text.

"I have absolute confidence in recommending Imogen Ragone as
a web designer. She is fast, accurate, and a pleasure to work with."

- Ruth Rootberg, www.alexandertechnique.com/amherst

"Many Alexander Technique teachers who have their own websites find that the majority of their new referrals come from their website. Unless you have all the students you want, it makes no sense whatsoever to be without one. ... For almost any kind of business today, not having a website is rapidly becoming equivalent to not having a phone."

Robert Rickover
Robert teaches the Alexander Technique in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Toronto, Canada. He is the creator of The Complete Guide to the Alexander Technique at www.alexandertechnique.com
